Model factory for logistics, materials management and order picking

We were allowed to develop and build a model factory for logistics, materials management and order picking for the Münster University of Applied Sciences in Germany. The model factory depicts a production process in which raw materials (workpieces) are processed in the form of different metal cones.

The most important features are:

• Profile plate with actuator and sensor assemblies 
• Trolley with doors 
• Mounting panel with circuit breaker, 24 V DC 10 A power supply unit(s), 24 V DC circuit breaker(s), ET200SP CPU1512-F PLC and Sirius 3SK2 safety switching device, potential distribution terminals and DC-Wattmeter
• Control panel with modular 19" units for: Emergency stop button; operating mode selector switch; start, stop and reset controls; electrical interface for the simulation console with male and female connectors; 4 mm laboratory sockets for 24 V DC / 0 V DC with max. load of 1 A. 
• Signal light, multicolor 
• IO-Link valve terminal
