The training camp for water technologists took place at the Festo Learning Center Saar as part of the WorldSkills Germany Championships for Mechatronics and Industry 4.0. 

The participants, Elias Sichler from SES Stuttgart Möhringen, Magnus Krech and Nils Eschrich, both from BVE in Weimar, prepared themselves for the German Championships at IFAT2026 in Munich. 

Practical training included plant construction and operation with the EduKit PA, as well as improving process understanding of the complex interrelationships between sewage treatment plants and waterworks with the DWA training kit. It remains to be seen which of the three will travel to WorldSkills 2026 in Shanghai, said the supervising trainer, Marcel Taubert from BVE in Weimar.
