Students are familiarized with control technologies of mechanical water separation and the processes involved. The station reproduces the adsorption process with activated carbon as a means of drinking water filtration and waste water treatment.
Adsorption processes are frequently used, especially for industrial wastewater from food, textile, pharmaceutical and petroleum refineries and many more.

The exercises for the adsorption station include the following processes:
- Operation of pumps
- Hydraulics of water flow in pipes and filters
- Adsorption of details on activated carbon
- Operation of an adsorption system
