The HTST-Process
Sterility also referred to as asepsis – is recommended at many branches and processes worldwide. To reach sterility of liquid media often the High-Temperature-Short-Time-Process, short HTST, is used. The aim of this continuous process is to heat a medium, which has to be sterilized, in a short time so high that germs are killed of but as short as possible to be gentle with the medium. A well-known example is the treatment of raw milk, called pasteurize.

Educate with no dangers but nevertheless practice orientated

The HTST Miniplant simulates the principle of a continuous, industrial sterile process for liquid media at low temperatures, to allow a safe teaching operation. Open- and Closed-loop-control functions can be used in the plant like in a real process.
